Evening/Morning/Afternoon
I am fairly new to Youtube, and I understand about Content ID claims vs. Copyright claims/violations. However, I've received conflicting information regarding the acknowledge and dispute buttons. I would not dispute, as the music in my videos is not owned by me. However, I have read that it really isn't necessary to hit the Acknowledge button, as that will not have any affect on the video's standing, and that acknowledging could even hurt you. But, I spoke with someone who has been on YT for years and she told me that acknowledging is important and that if you just ignore it (as I have) then your chances of getting a strike are even greater?
Can anyone here provide any insight. Because frankly, I don't know whether I should acknowledge them or not. I don't want any strikes of course, though I'm well aware of the possibility. I'd just like to know if acknowledging or NOT acknowledging can increase of decrease my chances of getting one. OR --- Does it truly not matter either way?
Thanks,
Danny
