Contains no video data

After I record a video with my elgato game capture hd, I try to put the clips into Corel VideoStudio Pro X6, It says "Contains no video data"... It opens fine in movie maker and windows media player... Any help?

It does, it opened them on my old computer and even tells you that you can. How can I tell if I'm missing one?

Usually when something like this happens. Try downloading the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack, make sure you choose the right one for your system (64 bit, 32 bit etc)

Why not put it into movie maker and then export it at the highest quality that works in VideoStudio? May be a bother, but its probably the simplest solution

That's what I had to do yesterday. I just don't want to keep exporting a 30 minute clip

Might be your only option bud, unless you can export in a different format from your recording software?

Try different software to edit video as Camtasia Studio/Sony Vegas. It's the best for me.
