Commentators, help!

Posting Mad!
Alright so when I did commentating I usually delete it and don't keep it. Any experienced commentators have any tips to keep from being so awkward or nervous?

Honestly, I just be myself and say the first thing that comes to my head, it may be totally unrelated and ********, but it gives people a laugh :)

It honestly takes time and with each commentary you'll get better. Let someone else hear it (preferably friends) and then have them give constructive criticism. The 2 most important things to remember are to have fun and to be entertaining. If your commentary is dull, people won't stay to watch.

if your awkward or nervous just do it anyway, practice makes it easier and easier every time, first time though, pick a game you know and love and whenever you get stuck for something to say just talk about what is happening in the game at that exact point, what your thoughts on it are and what you plan to do next. On occasion as well if you're very stuck for words just to give yourself time to think up something else to talk about you can summarize what has happened so far and such. What you talk about isn't as important as keeping a positive attitude and actually enjoying the game, an audience can tell when a commentator is having fun and they will enjoy the video much more.

Just say what's on your mind and explain what's happening on-screen. I've never really felt nervous doing commentary, after all, I'm not actually talking to anyone.
