Commentary help

I need help with commentating and recording at the same time. I can't use audacity since it picks up the audio of the game and I can't here myself talk.

just use audacity to record the input of your microphone, are you sure you've got the right input settings on Audacity?
or use a program like Dxtory that can record more than one audio stream

Use headphones and/or play around with your settings a bit.

Dxtory is indeed a very good program for split audio recordings. So you will get one for game and one for your commentary and when you need to you can adjust one of the audios.

Are you doing commentary for PC or console? If PC just use Fraps and talk straight over your recording as you play.

If you are doing live comm's then just use fraps?

Haha that's alright :L I do like Dxtory it's amazingly good, LOTS of setttings to tweak if your a nerd like me and you can use whichever codec you want to you can also record onto more than one hard drive at once to ensure faster writing!
