Comedic writer wanted!

Hello!
My name is Goldey and I'm about to start work on writing a comedy series but I think it would be better if there was a co-writer with me. If you are interested in writing a comedy series with me then reply with your Skype! There wouldn't be any payment unless it generates revenue and I can't tell the idea because I don't want people stealing it. Thanks!

About what? I don't want to tell the idea.
It's going to be hard to get people to work with you if you don't give any details about what they would be asked to do, and an overall arching idea regarding what direction the show would take.

For example, I'm sort of interested, but without details, I'd just as soon find someone else who's more willing to be honest and frank with me. After all, what've you got to lose by telling us even just a little?

It's not like you'd be starting off as a big comedian like Jerry Seinfeld or something, so again, probably not a big deal to tell us what's up! :)

Well I'm okay with giving some details but what do you want to know? Its called The Splitcom and its about two people living together with one having split personality disorder. It would explore the struggles of living with him and it would be funny.

What would the medium be? Who are the different personalities? What demographic would you aim for? How many different characters? There are a lot of questions and not enough answers my friend

Thanks, that kind of humor would be fun to write for. How do you plan to distribute the show? Do you have an audience already? Or did you just create your channel? I might be interested in collaborating, but you would need to prove that you can find a way to get a big enough audience to make it worth both of our time, because if I was to say I'm in, I would want a reasonable reward in return, such as a shoutout in the credits and a link to my channel in the description, or being paid outright to work on this as a hired writer.

I have passed college-level reading and writing classes, composition classes, and have creative writing experience, so I think I have some writing skills that may be of use to you for your show! :)

I've never tried comedy, but people have told me I have a very dry, witty sense of humor, so this might also help you! :)

Look dude I enjoy the questions but I really haven't planned that far ahead because I just wanted to write a sitcom for fun. The reason I want another comedic writer is so I can bounce ideas of them and they can do the same.[DOUBLEPOST=1429290099,1429289820][/DOUBLEPOST]

Well I'm sorry I don't have a large audience or anything. I was hoping to write a pilot, film it somehow and aim to get funded. I'm sorry but I'm no where as experienced as you and I can't provide that much for you. Sorry.

Fair enough, but I think you will find it difficult to find a writer, if you don't even know yourself what it is you want them to do.
You should really wait to figure out a general idea what you're doing before asking for writers to join you, because these are
the kinds of question any writer worth their salt would ask.
