Citing forum posts. And avoiding claims of plagerism

I made a similar post on Reddit

If I were to make a video showing off OC of tips and tricks for different situations ie/filmmaking, video games, fitness advice, if I include the link to the original poster, and state their work was the contribution, am I doing my due diligence to avoid said claims?

There's some very good content on Reddit that otherwise may not be seen, and I feel it can add relevancy and a great deal of information to the video. Obviously I would add my own thoughts as well, just trying to cover my bases.

Obviously I would add my own thoughts as well

This is where specifics matter. How much of your own thoughts? Are your thoughts the foreground with other people's content being synthesized into your own narrative?
Basically, would your video count as transformative?

That's what it all comes down to.

Are you taking people's content and merely throwing in a few of your own thoughts, or are you using people's content to bulk up and substantiate your own creation?
