Character making?

I've began to write and plan ideas for my Youtube channel, and I've gotten inspiration to do a few things from my favorite Youtubers. And I've found one thing that I wanted to do more than the rest, and have been having some trouble. Everyone always has their personality and branding that make their channel stand out. But I've seen some creators give pets their very own personalities, and make them sort of companions on their channel. Between wanting to start a channel, I've adopted a Conure, and wanted my new-found bird friend to have some attention on my channel as well. So what I want to have help with is, what are some good ideas that I could have to create a colorful and original character.

He's a pretty big inspiration to me personally, and it's a clever character,
also Jacques is a Conure. Although I really wouldn't want to be a Jontron clone, especially if
I make comedy and gaming skits. (I'm pretty sure there are already enough of those.)
