Channel URLs

There are so many channel urls that don't actually exist EX:I want youchoob /AndyPurvis

it goes to a 404, but when I try to make a channel with that URL it says it's not available.

What the heck D:
 
I hate it too. There were a few URLS I wanted but apparently they were "taken" even though no channels exist with the URL. Apparently, their too lazy to reset the inactive URL's.

Hello there I am about to answer your question ;)

These URLS are for channels that have been terminated, closed, etc. for atleast 1 year. You can easily get a channel name like this by contacting a YouTube representative, or asking your YouTube manager/YouTube network.
