Channel trailer... Viable for a newbie or no?

So I have yet to make any videos for my YouTube channel yet, but I am wondering if I should start off with a channel trailer or wait until I have a few videos up?

Thank you for your time and inputs :)

I would suggest waiting until you have a few videos up. I made my first video introducing myself and what was going to be on my channel, I made my second a relatable topic to find an audience, and then my third video a challenge because challenges tend to get good views no matter how small your channel is :) I would recommend a structure like that before a channel trailer, best of luck with your channel!

Thank you :) hoping all goes well and I get my channel started soon

Good luck with yours as well :)

I am right where you are - still working on my first video. What I have decided was to wait until I have about 5 to 10 videos done. Then use some of the footage from those as scenes for the channel intro / trailer.

I also figure with the other ones already done, I will be able to mention the categories of videos I have been making. Since as of now (still working on the first one) I wouldn't know what to say to that.

Hope this helps.
