Channel promotion!

I want to promote my channel in the best ways to get myself noticed. And I also want others to get promoted and I am willing to help! Sure sub for sub is a great way of dealing with it but you dont get the subs you want. You want people so subscribe to you and not demand anything back, you want them to subscribe to you because they like your content. It's really hard to get noticed and I now have a good 9 subscribers which pretty much are my closest friends and two of my brothers. I think I have 3 subs that I dont know or have met in real life. As mentioned I want to get noticed so down below, post your best tips and help eachother and I'll try to help you too!

Keep to one video a day if you can, it will boost views on your videos and you will stockpile videos too, Get in the community! Your a gamer so get to know and be friends with some gamers, choose to play a popular game to build a audience, become a director of a network best way to gain fast subs and views it's not too hard for smaller networks and promote someone and let them promote you is a good potential as well.

Sorry to jump in on this thread, but has anyone got any tips for a singer/songwriter? I have no original content on my channel, just a few covers, but I hope to get some original songs on there in the near future once I feel I have written a half decent song or two! Haha
 
Covering songs is great! People who like the songs you cover may watch, and if they enjoy listening to your voice they may check out more of your vids. If you have posted some original songs they can get noticed that way. Moral of the story: mix covers and originals!

the only thing i can really think of is to cover very recent very popular songs, that way you know millions of people are gonna be searching for those songs every day, also VEVO let's you put your video as a vid response to the original song wwhich could greatly boost your views :p
 
Sub for sub is bad because people sub for you but the don't watch your videos and when you want to be parntered, the network will see that you have 2000 subs and 400 views. Then you have to make a new account to clean those sleepy subs. This happend with alot of youtubers so it is a bad idea.
