Channel Growing Quicker than Expected: Will have to Start Considering Partnership Etc.

Hi all,

This is my first post on this Forum so hopefully I get things right.

Less than a month ago I had less than 500 subs and now I have 7k. So basically I am new to Monetization and Youtube Networks. I just want to make sure I am doing things right and not missing out on anything.

I am not too worried about money atm and happy to take it slow but just want to make sure I am not missing out on something I shouldn't be. So far I have just enabled adsense with the overlay ads and sponsorship ads (not sure what this is). Did this about 10 days ago. I haven't enabled the skippable video ads because I am scared this will slow my growth as a channel. Anyway from this I am earning a little bit per day but not much. If I enable skippable ads does this increase this by much?

Also with adsense it says my finalized earnings are still $0 although If I produce a report it shows total earnings to be greater than $100. Does it take them a while to update finalised earnings? I understand you need to earn at least $100 a month to cash out..

Finally Networks. I have been approached by TGN and Freedom so far. I imagine there will be more to come. I haven't replied so far because I honestly don't see any benefit in joining a network. The only benefits I see in joining a network are help dealing with copyright issues (no issues so far), providing more non-copyright music to use and getting you verified. Apart from this are there any other benefits for a League of Legends/Gaming youtuber?

With that being said Omnia Media Co seems to be the Network most high profile League Youtubers go with. Does anyone know why they are the go too network? Also how many subs do you think I need to really consider a network?

Any advice is appreciated. Cheers.

Maker gen is one of the best networks to request a partnership with at the current moment. But before you do a partnership with a network you might want to do some research on the network itself. Well hope this helps and also...
WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT GO TO MACHINIMA!

Machinima will be the last one I consider joining xD

Some networks also pay via PayPal as well as make payments with a $100 minimum. Otherwise, you pretty much nailed the "benefits" of joining one.

That said, they're no longer needed. Years ago, things were different, but nowadays the vast majority of features they offer are available for free or a minimal cost (instead of giving them 10-40% of your earnings).

Large channels receive signing bonuses, personalized service, and a sales/ marketing team to assist them with better ads and possibly even merchandise...but, unless you're getting a few million views a month, you'd get none of that (no matter what they may promise in their spam recruitment letters).

Thank you for the response. From this I can gather that it is better to wait for them to come to me and offer some sort of extra benefit for signing up. Cheers.

just don't join one. the benefits are so small. especially as a small youtuber. if you had a huge channel then it's in their interests to help you out, provide proper support and guidance. but why would they help a small channel. they don't get enough money from it to cover the expense of really helping you

i would wait until at least 50-100k before even considering one
