Channel Design to Fit Username?

A Family Vlogger
I'd LOVE to channel my design but how or what to create seems seemingly impossible to do. Should i get an image and throw lettering in? or Should just start from scratch and making something cool?

Im completely lost on what i should put this design just isnt cutting it, at least i dont think so anyway. Someone throw me a little bit a of advice? Thanks guys :)
 
Might wanna rethink what font you use. If it's difficult to read:

Ahhh...much better.

I'm not the best one to ask about this since once they changed to One Channel - made a ridiculously simple banner and then put it on both of my channels. I just am not very good at graphics and I'm really picky. So I don't want to ask someone to do it for me and then tell them it's not good enough. So for now I'm just keeping it simple until I have time or someone else offers to do it for me and won't feel bad if I tell them to tweak it 5 or 6 times
 
You're Channel Art is a little bit impersonal where as your videos you really connect with your viewers.

Maybe a picture of yourself instead of the lens? And a title... You're channel has a lot more to offer than a city scape, all though a stunning shot... your banner needs to reflect your awesome content.

Im just not sure where to begin and how I should do it, talking about the banner anyway. I think ill take your advice about the icon, you were talking about that to right?

Yea your main picture, the icon I feel should be a picture of yourself. I see you've changed that already, great. Now the banner, just needs something that will give people an idea on what your channel is about... From what I can see, you don't seem to be too clear yourself on what your channel is about. Am I correct?

You have a mixture of vlogs in there, reviews? and youtube challenges?

Maybe you can come up with a list of things you like to vlog about... i.e Home Life, Work, Thoughts... a list of 4-5 would be good and arrange these videos by playlists or tags. That way you can arrange the video's on your YouTube account as themes one row after the other so it is easy for people to find them. (Check out the YouTuve Creator Academy/Playbook - section on organising).

This will help people understand what they expect from your channel, along with a catchy trailer and description. Okay, so I have underlined the main things to focus on, again; reference to the YouTube playbook (or youtube other you tubers who have posted advice on these underlined topics)

Another thing I noticed is your FB doesnt match your YouTube... try to keep your branding consistent. So have the same picture of your face, or use the logo on your facebook in your YouTube banner. Your YouTube Banner could be used as your FB cover photo too.

... I know its so much information, and I am no expert! My channel is new, I am still learning about the functionality of YouTube and also working on my own branding (even knowing what my channel is about is difficuilt because I like so many different things) but what I have shared with you is what I have learnt from info provided on YouTube.

I pretty much got my channel around as your pretty much stated, other then figuring out my sub situation, long story about that. But i have a banner made, thanks to user "KGATV" :) I will take as much help that giving to me, people like you that take the time the write all that you wrote, really keeps me motivated so no there will never be too much info. Im indeed glad you said something to all this, you an others have helped me re-arrange my channel to the greatest ive ever seen it.

Im trying extremely hard to get things going, been so busy with youtube the past couple weeks, but i know its worth it. Without you an the others, i wouldnt be where im at today, thank you very much. :)

Okay... this is where an A level in psychology comes in handy,
Presentation is key, You need to use the right colors. I think Your title looks a bit to.. how should I put this... Paint.Nety...
It looks good, but it does not strike me, or make me be able to see your personality, or what you are about. I would try to use some more green, green is a inviting, and a positive color, it suggests goodness, and this will make your viewers think positively, before watching your vid, and making that crucial subscription to you.
