Channel Art Banner

I recently changed up my channel art but I think it looks good for mobile devices and computer but the version for TV I couldn't really get to work out so well. Should I even really worry about the TV version?

Thanks,

That depends on your audience. Check your analytics if you can find out how much traffic comes from TVs.

I never even thought to check that. It seems that only .7 % of my views come from TV.

Now you have to decide whether these 7% have an impact or if you just want to ignore them.

It's just .7 not 7 so less than a percent isn't terrible I wouldn't think. I don't think my channel art is bad per say for the TV its just not made specifically for it.

Did you use the YouTube Photoshop template?

My banner has all the detail in the middle where mobile/pc users will see it - if anyone browsed my channel via a TV, they will see my banner along the middle with a gradient black/white fill filling the screen.

Eg of a banner I did for another channel:

No I used Gimp 2.8 to make my banner. I setup boundaries for all of the major zones and used them to setup my channel art. The areas outside my boundary have a texture to them but I'm not sure that I'm totally happy with it.

Thats a pretty sweet channel artwork btw.

I've only ever used the template so I know how my banner will look on every device. This way no-one sees anything I didn't intend them to.

Oh, and thanks :)
