Changing channel URL to something else after update?

So about a year ago, I created a channel and changed the URL to a custom URL on the same.

I hear last month that, with certain requirements, we can change our URL name. Does this apply to everyone who created a custom URL before the November 2014 or no?
 
  • 500 or more subscribers
  • Channels is at least 30 days old
  • Channel has uploaded a photo for the channel icon
  • Channel has uploaded channel art
  • they are the requirements for the channel URL
 
You can't change the URL if you made custom URL before the update. After the update they just see if your channel meets the requirments for custom URL and whatever was your previous custom URL they'll keep that and newly made channels will have to work their a** up to meet the requirements before they can set their custom URL.

Well I made a custom URL before the update, and they still give me the option to change it.

wheres the place to go to change my URL? i wanna check if i can in that case. used to be in channel settings advanced but now i have no clue where[DOUBLEPOST=1418818214,1418817223][/DOUBLEPOST]oh maaan i just realized it was when google + offered me to change the custom URL for g+ not youtube but that applied for youtube as well i wasn't aware of that. i actually changed my URL to how i wanted when they offered but i've still been directing people through my old channel URL which also works the difference is between youtube.com/user/ and youtube.com/c/
 
I looked at the Youtube help site on how to do this but I don't have the option.. I want to change it from THELemonLorraine to LemonLorraine

Go on your Google+ page

It should say "You are eligible for a custom URL"[DOUBLEPOST=1418862401,1418862318][/DOUBLEPOST]

You can't really change your URL, if your channel url is GenericMCYouTuber and you want to change it to MLGPROYouTuber, you won't be able to do that, it pre-selects certain urls you can choose
