Captioning Software

I used to have a program on my computer a few years ago that would allow me to add captions to a video by loading a notepad filed up with each subtitle on a different line and while the video played I would hold my mouse key down to make the subtitle up with the speech and release it ready for the next line.

Does you know any captioning software like that? I've searched Google and all the links want to link to my channel, which the software didn't do. I wish I could remember the name of it.

Youtube has one now. I was reading they have a speech auto detect, although is not perfect haha. Look it up under creators/partners.

I type out my captions manually with textwrangler and save as a .txt and then upload!
