Cant resume uploading after Suspension.....

c4geron

Loving YTtalk
So after I got two garbage community guideline strikes that have still not been explained to me from YouTube or anyone, the only reason I could even possibly think of was for extra tags in the description which Im now going to go back and tidy my videos up....anyways...

...the 2 week ban was up Yesterday, so I've been editing videos in the downtime to release some new content to my subscribers, however YouTube wont allow me to upload videos, just gives me a blank "You are currently not able to upload" page. Does anyone have any more information on this, as to when I will be able to resume uploading?

Within the strikes it has the part of "Additional violations may result in the temporary disabling of your ability to post content to YouTube" so does anyone know the timeline for this, or any avenues I could take to find that information out? I assumed that this was part of the two week suspension if you will.

I still have all the abilities to monetize videos, still partnered with Machinima, basically everything enabled on the 'Account' page aside from 'Live Events' + 'Video Editor'.

Cheers.

Try contacting Machinima about it?
...Yeah, try is the key word there...

Maybe give it another day. Review the guidelines to see what rules you could have broken.
Do you know what videos are they striking?

Good luck!

That sucks. It doesnt look like you broke any rules. I guess sometimes even YouTube can make big mistakes. I would do as he said above, give it another day. Hope it gets sorted out for you

According to the Youtube rules
  • First Strike: The first strike on an account is considered a warning.
  • Second Strike: If your account receives two strikes within a six month period, you won’t be able to post new content to YouTube for two weeks. If there are no further issues, full privileges are restored automatically after the two week period.
  • Third Strike: If an account receives a third Community Guidelines strike before the first strike has expired, the account will be terminated.
Full privileges have not been restored, at one point today I was able to upload a video and while it was processing they gave me the 'unable to complete upload, please try again'. I tried 3 different files all with the same results and NOW its back to giving me the 'You are currently not allowed to upload' screen.

I have asked Machinima for support, but last time I did that it took a week and a half for them to respond. I hope all is enabled when I try again tomorrow, if not this is b******t.

I ASSUME that there may be some 'lag' if you will of all my account features and privileges being restored, but looking to see if anyone else here has got 2 strikes and has been able to upload fine after the two week 'suspension'.

Is that what they said? No details of what rules were supposedly broken?...
At this point I'd contact YouTube/Google support (just google "Google support" or "YouTube support" they're both the same) and scream at them, but politely.

Sorry for your bad luck! Good luck getting it resolved!

Also, have you counted the weeks as business weeks (weekends do not exist) or normal weeks (weekends do exist)
It could be possible they count it in business weeks...
