cant reply to comments

I recently went to reply to a couple of new comments on my videos and it seems youtube switched something and I cant figure out how to do this all of a sudden. There is no reply button showing anymore. anyone figure out how to reply?

It is all so crazy. Some of them I can reply too others I can not. I am not sure what is up with that.

I believe that they have an option to turn off replies to their messages.

Some of you have noticed that you can't reply to some comments on videos. This does not mean all comments can't be replied to. Comments that were made before the new system launched can't be replied to, or given a thumbs up or thumbs down. Any new comment will have those features active.

Have you tried to use the plus sign and their ID?
Post a comment and put +memberID to see if they get the reply.
