Can't get past 8,000 subscribers….is it me :/

Don't get me wrong, its not ALL about subscribers, and I would feel the same joy that I feel about youtube with ZERO subscribers…but I watched that number grow these past 4 years and now its just at a halt. Did anyone else experience this…..drought? I even tried adding new types of videos to show other sides of my personality. I appreciate the subscribers that I do have, so if staying stuck at the 8,000 mark means I get to keep you guys, then I don't want anymore!! LOL, thanks for listening xoxo
 
I think you are losing subs just because you changed your videos. Look at your views. All the singing ones have a couple of thousand views. All the other videos barely scratch 1k. All you subscribers subbed because of your covers. Now, you do other stuff that they are probably not interested in. If I were you, I would go back to make coversongs.
 
We are in the exact same boat, I can't get past 800 and I see our views are doing the exact same thing. Like exactly!! Your views used to reflect your sub count and now you're getting literally like 10 percent of your viewer base if that, and same with me, you're down to about 500 views per vid, I'm down to about 50. Thats... what I did... I changed my content... like 5 times....
 
Well, it' s a terrible idea to change content just because you're hunting for more subs and views. Stay with your original idea and focus just on that. Sooner or later people WILL recognize you.
 
I think you're right! I just thought that people would appreciate the beauty videos especially because on my covers they comment and ask me to make the beauty videos! Lol, I think i'll go back and fourth between the two. For example, upload a cover on a Tuesday, then on Fri or Sat a beauty video. Think that will help me?

Yes, that sound like a plan, like a structure that people will get. That way, you won't alienate any viewers. So yeah, I'd say go for that!
 
Lol!! Wow, you are so right. I think i'm going to go back to my original videos, or maybe cover a song in the beginning of the other videos - being that thats why people come to my channel to watch my singing videos. However, i'm torn because I do have a passion for things other than music and I would like to share them all with my youtube Family. I looked at it more as giving people something more to watch than just me sitting behind my computer singing - because in a lot of my cover videos many people suggested I make other videos. Thank you for your feedback![DOUBLEPOST=1400870653][/DOUBLEPOST]

Or you could start posting mine craft videos everybody will be like "WHAAAAAAAA". No no... You could pioneer and be the first ever girl to do mine craft beauty tips!! I can see it now... You're building like an ode to one direction in the game as you're going saying "I find that warm colors work best in colder seasons and cool colors work..."
