how do i install it so it played before my videos?

You need to edit it in before you upload the video in your editing software.

what he's saying is that you need to piece together the intro and your main video in a video editor, save it as one file, then upload it to youtube. You can't really upload JUST an intro and have it play before all your videos, Youtube doesn't have that functionality. You have to manually insert the intro every time you make a new video

You need to put it into every video yourself as you edit. Youtube doesn't put it in for you.
