Ok, so I'm trying to find this Canon "Handle Unit" as it's called on B&H. Does anyone know where I can get one?

Now obviously I could just go and buy the camera it'd come with it, but I don't wanna do that (well, I would love to, but I can't) :p

That is what I am trying to ask you, i don't know if it is compatible with another camera, even a Cannon. Do you know for sure that it is?[DOUBLEPOST=1385070603,1385070542][/DOUBLEPOST]If not I'd suggest a Tascam 60D and a shock proof hot shoe mic mount.

I'm looking for just the handle so I can put it on my DLSR.

It won't work on your camera. Your need the proprietary input from the C100 that can control/power the XLR section of the handle unit-the handles aren't really available separately. They are, but they cost so much, you're better off buying a whole camera to get one.

Also-your DSLR isn't designed to carry all the weight via the hot shoe, so even if you did manage to get one, the hot shoe would crack and your camera would most likely fall off while you're carrying it by the handle.

That is an instant viral video if I ever heard of one, "Watch DSLR Break via Hotshoe Carrying"
