Cannot add YouTube to TikTok Profile

Yes I know this is a YouTube forum...

I've been working on growing my channel, and people keep telling me I need to start posting on TikTok, so I started that this week.

My IG posts are bringing in new subscribers and more views to YouTube, so I was hoping that TikTok might do the same.

I am not able to add my YouTube channel to my TikTok profile however. I get an error that says:

Sign in with Google temporarily
disable for this app.
This app has not been verified yet by Google in order to use Google Sign In.

Now this is very strange, because I'm actually using Google to sign in to TikTok in the first place...

I've sent TikTok support a message through the app and have not heard anything back in three days.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm guessing they don't want people linking to their biggest competitor.
I don't think so, and it's hardly a competition to YouTube.

TikTok is a competition to Instagram, not YouTube.

TikTok will drive more views TO YouTube, as people follow TikTok posters to YouTube to get longer videos of people they enjoy on TikTok - similar to IG.

Not sure. I assume you've followed the official process:

I found a thread with other people having the same problem :

Thanks. Yes, I am following the official process.

I found that thread as well and nothing they suggested worked either.

It appears that TikTok needs to actually do something to fix this, but I have a hard time believing that people setting up new accounts are not trying to link the two and having this problem all the time.
