Can you get monetised by posting AI music?

I'm not going to build a YouTube channel just posting AI music. But the other day, I was searching the web to see if I could use AI music on my videos and still be monetised. Turns out, you can.

Then I had a thought. If you only posted AI music on your channel, could it still be monetised or get monetised?

Yes, you can monetize a channel posting only AI music if it meets YouTube’s policies and adds enough original value. Purely automated or repetitive content may be flagged, so make sure to add uniqueness or commentary to stay eligible for monetization.

Oh ok. When researching it, I heard some people use AI agents to create the music then putting it into a video. All automated.

YouTube allows AI-generated music if you have full rights to the track and it doesn’t use any copyrighted material (like cloned vocals or melodies from real artists). But to get monetized, your channel still needs to meet all the requirements — watch hours, subs, and “original content” guidelines. If all your uploads are just AI songs with no added creativity or commentary, YouTube might see it as “reused content” and deny monetization. Maybe try adding visuals, behind-the-scenes AI creation, or your own twist — that helps a lot.

This information is very helpful, and I also learned that if you only post AI-generated music, your channel can still be monetised as long as you own the rights to the content. It’s interesting to know that AI tools can give you a commercial license for the music they create. I’m also planning to create a YouTube channel focused on exploring the latest employment trends, so understanding these monetization rules is really useful.
