Can you change pitch of song?

Hey I'm sure this has been asked before but can I just change the pitch or edit the song slightly and use it without getting in trouble for copyright in my videos?

There is a chance of getting copyright hahah!
I've sung many English songs on their instrumental, I didn't get any copyright notice, except two videos where I just used my vocals only (no music)! LOLZzz

My partner is the audio expert in my home, and I got him to slow down a segment of a song and put it on loop and then reverse it half way through. I used it for a school project, I didn't upload it to YouTube though.

It's a 50/50 chance, there's no knowing for sure if it'll get a copyright strike but it's still possible that it can happen.

Yes, you can, but let's be VERY clear about what you're doing here.

This does NOT make it legal for you to use a song in your video. All it does is circumvent the ContentID match system. It is STILL ILLEGAL to use copyright music in your video, no matter how you modify it.

Are you really willing to risk losing your channel for that? Content ID actually gives you a chance to appeal, but if you intentionally circumvent it, Google won't think twice about banning you forever. Especially if the video is monetized.

ContentID used to be that stupid. It's far less so these days. You should test it and let us know how it turns out.
