Can U Use Show Lines on Your Videos?

Hi, can you use tv show lines in your videos or is that copyrighted?

I want to make a video about lines that one character from this tv show says but i am worried about getting a strike.

Does anyone know?

Unless you are only using those clips without commentary or explanation, you should be able to use them. However if you're just simply re-uploading them, then yes, you can get a strike.

I want to say the character's lines to other people. No clips, images, or anything else.

I'm not sure if the lines from tv shows are copyrighted. Would hate to putt all the work in and then have it all taken away and a strike on the account.

Oh! In that case it should be fine! Youtube won't pick it up, and usually the script isn't so copyrighted that you can't say it outside of that. If that were the case, Human speech would be rather limited.

I seem to have gotten away with it in one of my videos without realising it maybe borderline copyright
