Can I claim videos that are reuploaded from my channel?

One of my videos recently went viral, and there's a bunch of random channels just straight up reuploading my video. I'll usually comment on the video telling them to put my channel in the description and in an annotation, and most the time they'll do it in fear that I'm gonna take their video down. But still they're actually making money off my video, one of the reuploads has over 400k views. I could easily strike these videos down, but then I'm not sure where all the money that video made would go. I have a feeling youtube just keeps it. So is it possible for me to claim a video so that the ad revenue it makes goes to me?

I'm pretty sure you can claim it in a way that leaves it up on their channel but the money goes to you (never done it but I know publishers can do that with music and so on). However, I'd personally just get them taken down since they are just stealing from you and that's not right.

I honestly don't care as long as I'm credited. Because the people who steal it are using different titles which probably brings in viewers to the video it probably wouldn't have.

Any money they've already been paid is theirs. If you want it, you're well within your rights to try suing them in a court, but good luck with that.

Unless you're with a network who offers Content ID, you're not going to be able to collect any money earned on their posts of your video going forward... and, if you were able to do so, they'd likely remove the offending video anyway (no point for them to risk getting a copyright strike on a video they're not even earning income from).

I never understood the "as long as I'm credited" mentality. With 400k views, that person essentially stole upwards of $400 from you.... but somehow you'd be alright with that so long as your name was in their description (which very few people would read and even fewer would click to visit you)?
