camtasia VS adobe premier.

so ive recently been using camtasia to edit and record and kinda got used to it and learned the basics of it. but for a future video i wanna do i need adobe after effects, and ive heared adobe products work better together than for example camtasia and after effects. i dont know if that is true but it makes sense...
so my question is: would it be worth it to switch from camtasia to premiere if you are gonna have to use after effects somewhere in the future?

Yes for sure, I don't know a lot about camtasia, but Premiere Pro is amazing along with after effects, thanks to Adobe Dynamic Link. (Google it, it allows you to import Ae projects into Pr without rendering! :D)

And it's my 2nd fav editor next to FCPX.

Premiere is leagues more powerful than Camtasia, and it integrats amazingly with After Effects, Photoshop, Audition, ect... It is definitely worth getting, in my opinion.

Adobe products are designed to work together but that doesn't mean After Effects can't work with or Camtasia. If Camtasia is working for you, stick with it. If you're not using semi-pro or professional camera equipment then you're missing out on what Premire Pro would have to offer and paying for a bunch of features you wouldn't use. You're better off getting After Effects and editing with Camtasia.

I also use sony vegas, tis the best video editing software in my opinion :)

i tried sony vegas, just didnt really feel as good as camtasia to me :p.[DOUBLEPOST=1377381199,1377381177][/DOUBLEPOST]

thanks for this advice, seems like ill just stick with camtasia :)

ADOBE is definitely the most secure I've ever used. Camtasia crashes repeatedly for me if I try to use my computer while it renders.
