Camtasia Studio Alternatives

Does anyone know any good Camtasia studio alternatives? Something that records your screen in high quality? I am after something else preferably free as I find Camtasia to be a bit buggy for me.

I don't find Camtasia studio 7 particularly buggy and have never really had any problem with it except for a bit of lag now and again but my laptop isn't excellent . I must've researched this subject for hours on end and not really come to any resolve, the only ones I have tried are:

  • CamStudio
  • Hypercam 2
  • Fraps (only for games)
  • Total screen Recorder
Try a few of these and let me know how you get on :).

Thanks John, I have fixed the problems I was getting with a reinstall now, it is good to know what else is there out there though for when I might need it.
 
Id recommend Debut Video capturing studio over that. The free version really is nearly the whole thing, you dont miss much really without the pro version.

Theres a thing called torrrent, which everyone uses these days.

I understand, it's not fair to use programs illegally, but a wise man sayd this on the forums, 'Nothing is fair now' :D
