Camera Screen Protector?

I've Got It
Ok, so I was browsing through Amazon looking for gear and I came across a Camera Screen Protector. As we all know screen protectors are a must when it comes to phone so I started wandering if I need one for my camera. I bought my camera few months ago and I haven't used it that much yet so the screen looks OK.

So this is where my question comes. Have you got a screen protector for your camera?
If you owned a camera for at least year or two, have you noticed any scratches?

In short, no and no. I've got two DSLRs and a compact and none has suffered any scratches on the screen. Think about it: phones are about your person all the time and go in pockets with keys and coins, so are susceptible to scratches. Cameras are carried a fraction of the time, usually in a case and never go in pockets with scratchy things (DSLRs at least!). That said, I did have my compact in my pocket on holiday recently and it came to no harm!

That's good, let's hope other people had the same experience as you. :)
The protector I saw was only £10 so It might be worth getting it just in case but I'll see what other people say first.

I bought a used camera that had a screen protector and I hate it. It blurs the image and I can hardly tell if I am in focus or not.

No idea if this is a proper screen protector or something strange so I haven't tried because I fear there will be a lot of glue leftovers.

ohh, that sucks. Maybe try taking it to some sort of camera servicing shop, they will have a look at it to see if it's safe to take it off.

On my compact camera i cut a spare phone protector to fit,

but i do daily vlog so my camera is used 24/7 and always on my person in pockets and bags

Every camera I've owned I've never had an issue with, I have a feeling this is just a way to make more money for someone.
