Camera and Mic for New YouTuber

I am looking to buy a decent quality camera and microphone soon to take photos, but to mainly make video. Friggin Boom and Wheezy Waiter are my main inspirations. Obviously the cheaper the better, but I'd still like them to be fairly good. From what I've seen the Canon 600D and Rode VideoMic Go look like they might be what I get, but it would be nice to get some advice from someone who is more knowledgeable on them. Any help is much appreciated!

I would recommend looking up reviews of cameras around the 300€ mark. One thing you gotta do is make sure it has an external audio jack!

I'm using an Olympus stylus and that cost about 259. I just used it in my newest video and I think it looks great. It's HD compatible and 1080p.

Well, my friend has the Blue Snowball (Mic) and it's pretty amazing. I'm hopefully getting one for Christmas. Though they're in the region of £50-£70

The Canon T3i/600D would be good to produce quality videos. I would advise learning how to use the camera's manual capabilities for better results.

I currently have the Canon 600D and I would say it's the best! It's not too hard to learn. It takes quick, sharp videos and it's just a great camera! And that's such a coincidence, I'm actually investing in Rode VideoMic for my camera. The reviews are great and it's supposed to hold it's own against more expensive mics and it's not too bulky :) If you have the cash to spare, I would definitely invest in those!

Yes! I have shot on the 600D and it's great! I always use Rode Mics and they are great! Highly recommend. :)

If you want some more features you can go with the Canon t4i/650D or T5I/700d (If you can't find the t4i/650D). They have touch screen and continuous autofocus although you really should be shooting in manual mode. I think they also come with the STM lenses, which are good kit lenses. I just recently purchased the t5i, and i'm loving it.

Thank you for the help everyone! :D I think I might try and spend the little bit of extra money for those extra features in the 700D and for the mic I'll get a VideoMic but I'll just see which one I can get with the money I have
