False! Check out my channel. I've uploaded every video up there without any software or equipment. In BO2 there's a "Theater Mode" that allows you to upload any clip directly to your linked YouTube Channel. As long as the clip is 2mins or less all you'll have to do is click on "Render Video". Hope this helps you out..

The sound isn't that bad. But your right about the quality. 720p isn't bad for free, but good luck finding someone to record it for ya.
