Why Branding?
Because branding helps your viewers identify you, helps you promote your channel, and also helps advertise your merchandise. Branding is key for good marketing, and makes for an excellent tool for those looking to build a consumer base. It's important to remember that there are bad types of branding that could possibly hurt you, more than help, but well get to that later.

Now, to help define what branding is, let's take a look at some examples. I.E. Pepsi, and their product, Mountain Dew. Mountain Dew has a very distinct label, font, and Pepsi makes sure to produce amazing commercials for this product. The very essence of something, is it's branding. How it looks, how the producer makes it look to the public, and what people familiarize with when seeing the product. Keep all this in mind when treating your style of branding, very important.

Can I Brand?
Stop. Take a moment and think about what it is that you enjoy doing, what your hobbies are, what sort of YouTube channel you have, and it's related content. Most likely, for this, you'll want to think about what your username is, and THIS is why it's important to have a simple, and relatively small channel name; makes it easier to market. Once you have an image in your head of how you'd like your "logo", avatar, banner; which all must coincide together, you are ready to start!

If you can't design your own image, at least make an attempt to put at least something up, even as a place holder, till you can get what you actually want. Try to make your brand stand out, though in a positive way. Keep in mind, it should reflect what it is you do, and what your YouTube channel is about. I.E. if you're a filmmaker, have some film strips located on the logo somewhere; anything like that. Just be sure that it relates back to you. You want your viewers to see this image, logo, whatever, and have it remind them of YOU.

Utilizing Your New Brand
Once you have your brand, it's time to share it with the world, and let it be seen.

Go and share with friends, family, associates, etc. Anyone, and everyone you can. However, obviously, don't spam, and keep everything professional when you try and market your brand you now have. Paste it on t-shirts, coffee mugs, backpacks, etc. Anything, you can to help promote yourself, and your services/channel.

How is my brand? In the future when someone mentions my channel I want them to think: "That guy that plays all those retro games" or something like that.

If that little guy is an original, and yours, keep it. It'll work for you, having a mascot/icon like that REALLY helps.

I can do that for you if you'd like.

If you wanted to throw something together for me I would appreciate it very much, but I really just need to stop procrastinating with it really, I have the the stuffs to do so, Im just never in the mood and when I am I never like what I make haha
