Branding Watermarks in your videos?

I used one for a while.

I hate it when the video gets crammed with stuff, at times there could be annotations, watermark and an overlay ad. Not to mention there's your logo and subscribe button underneath.

It just feels like too much so I turned it off.
 
I think either adding a semi-transparent logo (for branding) for the entire video or a picture of you for the first/last few seconds would be good. Not sure how effective it is though haha
 
Sometimes it helps in case someone freeboots your video so that they know it's yours. The freebooter will have to go the extra mile to remove it, but most wont even bother.
 
Sometimes I notice a watermark in people's videos. Other people have very subtle watermarks. So I guess it depends on the logo itself. Also I know I'm likely to change a logo from time to time and wouldn't want my old logo appearing in older vids. So I guess it's just personal preference.
 
With my branding my logo is a tad bit limited plus I love it as is anyways. I just put a semi-transparent snowflake in every video just because I like too XD and if someone for whatever reason down the road takes a vid of mine Id know right away
