blue snowball problems

when i got my blue snowball i plunged it it and it was fine and now when i try and use it 1 of 2 things will happen. it will do nothing and will not work only thing that will happen is the light come on and the secound thing is that it will register its there and will not install right

if any one know what could be going on that would be great
 
Go to control panel>hardware and sound>sound

Then go to the recording tab, and unplug then plug in your mic. This seems to be an issue for me, and that's how I usually fix it. So try that, and see how it works, sorry if not.

You can fix your snowball problem by selling it, buying a 2 channel mixer and a Shure SM57.
 
shame that would cost like 5 times then price of the snowball..

The Shure mic can be had for around $100 and a basic 2-4 channel mixer as low as $20. So if by 5 times you mean 2.4 times for far superior gear. Then yes.

I couldn't be bothered to do the math :L I was being sarcastic at the price. Also, some people just don't have the money to be able to spend this difference.
