Blue Nessie's audio is low :I

So I ordered a Blue Nessie some months ago, and the sound is good enough.
My only complain as that you have to sit right in it's face for it to actually pick up decent enough sound if it isn't at 1.0, and then it still is pretty low.

This is an issue as we are always 2 or more people when we record. Does the Blue Yeti have a bigger range? I might have to upgrade to one if there's no ways to fix this.

Blue Yeti does but have you tried adding a compressor in Audacity? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4CqjvATHew&list=FLK5EtG1Xu96mhAAsimTpHgw&index=27 this video explains some good techniques to editing audio. The settings will always vary. I have to changed the compressor settings when changing between solo commentary and dual commentary. EDIT: forgot to mention the compressor can reduce loud noises and increase quieter 1s and bring everything more inline in combination with the normalise effect. I also tick the 2 boxes down the bottom as I find they help more when trying to balance the audio. This has helped me both with solo and dual commentaries so that I can now have a good balance of voice and game audio. This means I no longer have to reduce the game audio as much just to hear voice.
