Blue ice snowball settings

Now, before I start, I did use the search option but it was too vague.

My question concerns those whom have a"blue ice snowball" microphone. Seeing as how its a good starting mic and not so expensive, Im pretty sure alot of people have one and I was wondering;

-What kind of setting do you use to get the best audio possible?

If we could make this the "Go to" thread for the blue ice owner, future owners with questions.

I currently use audacity to record and work the audio but can't seem to be consistent with the result.

Im probably gonna go with the blue yeti or a audio-technica when Its time to change.
I ordered the Blue Yeti a lil over a week ago, if I see you post something about it again, I'll tell you how it is when I get it.

The setting you use on the snowball or snowball ice depends on what type of audio you are recording....simple as that.

I had the Snowball iCE, and I honestly couldn't find a good setting I liked with my audio... I don't recommend it for anyone new to the YouTube business. If you're looking into cheap microphones, I'd probably go with an ATR-2100 or regular Snowball. I've had experience with both, and the audio on them is great.

The only setting with the Snowball iCE really is volume, just adjust it to best suit your needs, if you're recording high volumes, turn it down, if youre quite, turn it up. :)[DOUBLEPOST=1390932247,1390932157][/DOUBLEPOST]

I'd only recommend for people wanting to do Skype, people say there's not much difference betweenthe iCE and Regular but I can hear a noticeable difference.
