Black Screen When Trying to Record Display in OBS Studio

Whenever I try to use "display capture" in OBS Studio, all I see is a blank screen, both in the preview and the final file. Anyone know how to fix this?
 
I'm also having the same problem and as yet I haven't figured out a work around. Instead I'm currently using the XBOX app on windows 10 to record the gameplay.

I found a solution to it just today: create a new scene and create a new display capture source in it. Worked for me. If it works, you can just move that source to your regular scene.
