Black bars due to 16:10 monitor

Hi there,

I have a question about black bars due to recording fullscreen on a 16:10 monitor with OBS. Resolution 1680x1050.

I've seen that YouTube had a tagging code to stretch a video, but it seems that this doesn't work anymore.

Two questions:

- is there anything i can change in the already uploaded videos to remove the black bars on the left and right side?

- can i change my OBS settings that my videos will record on 16:9 without cutting away parts of the screen?

when you change the resolution to a 16:9 one in obs (at this point I'd recommend you to record Full HD), you can enlarge the video without making it crop by holding shift when enlarging it, that makes it stretch
