Big Company on Ads

I seen a lot of big company had their own youtube channel, but all of their videos doesnt consist ads. I understand there's some legal issue behind the reason why they dont allowed ads to run on their videos, but can anyone provide a more details on this? Or its just basically their choice not to use them?

Big companies don't display ads due to the fact that not only are their videos generally being uploaded for the purpose of them actually being an ad, but also it takes away from their product. Why would they want to promote another product before the viewers see their own just for the little amount of $$ they'd make? Yes they would generally make many thousands but that's nothing compared to the sales. Businesses don't see YouTube as an income source they see it as a marketing tool. simple.
