I've wanted to make an intro for my channel for quite some time now. I wanted one that's a bit cartoony, and featuring lots of colour, but I have no idea which software is the best to use for such an intro. So I'm calling upon the Gods of the internet to help me/other newish YouTubers.

i am sorry to disappoint you but there are no softwares that are free to use, you must pay for them. there are ways to do it without softwares but am no art expert i just know that it exists.

I would recommend things like adobe after effects it's very useful and there are lots of tutorials out there that can get you used to the program.

Try goanimate or toon boom animation. Just Google search free animation software there is tons out there! [emoji4]

I'd use animation software and then export it out as an image sequence to composite into Aftereffects (for transitions and whatnot). The look you envision the end result to be will help decide which animation software to use. ;-)
