Best free recording software

Can somebody help me I need some good free recording software becuse I've been using fraps on my friends computer but it's a little expensive anygood recording software for Pc will do thanks

MSI Afterburner is good for games.

You can download registered versions of fraps. It may have slightly less features (I've never really used a payed for version so I don't know.) But it works for me.

I think that is considered piracy though. We're not supposed to promote that on the forums.

Well I didn't know. I thought that they just updated fraps to the point that older versions were free since they weren't as good as the up to date version. My bad.
