Best/Favorite Recording Software & Editing Software

Hey there! We meet again!

So i was wondering, all you youtubers out there, which is the best recording software that anyone should use(as a gamer) and which is the best editing software to use? Or favorite, doesn't matter. So let's get started!

I have used a lot of recording software that was free or not, and a lot of editing software that was free or not.. But i came to a conclusion.

NOTE: I DO NOT AGREE WITH PIRATE SOFTWARE, NOR RECOMMENDING!
So, for recording my gameplay(minecraft, cod, etc), my favorite one is the FRAPS and i think that is the best one out there! And yes, before you continue, you will have to pay for it like i did. But you can get it for free(pirate version).

And for editing my footage, i have choosen the Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. And yes, i paid for it. Bit pricey. I think it's the best editing software, as it is kinda easy to use and has a lot of features to use, unless you just want to put some footages and make the one video, then i don't suggest premiere pro cs6. Get a free one.

well i don't know about recording software since i'm not a gaming channel, but i just go for free and simple movie maker on windows, since i do vlogging and need very little effects other than jump cuts and text :)
 
I just use Dxtory and Sony Vegas 11 (Both pirated w o o ps) but I also have Bandicam and Fraps, but I fel that Dxtory is a much better program to record with then Bandicam/Fraps. But that's just me~
 
If you read all of the other threads like this, you will find the answer. The search button actually works.
 
At my house, we have tried a few different softwares titles. Overall, we chose Action! for recording and Sony Vegas for editing.
They're both fairly easy to use with good modification options.
 
I use open broadcaster software (Which is free) to record my gameplay and vlogs, Because
  1. I can overlay my recordings with my cam, banners, text, other peoples cams and more.
  2. I can also livestream and record at the sametime with this program.
  3. Its FREE! XD
  4. It doesn't take up as much memory as fraps (20 mins of recording with OBS will only take up to a estimate of 500mb instead of gbs! XD
  5. I can record browser games with it.
I use Sony Vegas 12 to edit, I would love to try out adobe premiere one day!:D
 
I use Sony Vegas pro 12, With Photoshop CS6. They're both great programs, especially if you use them together.
