Best camera for video blogs? :)

Hey guys, so I have a pretty nice camera already, but I've noticed that in some vlogs the picture is CRYSTAL CLEAR. I want to prove to myself that I can stick with YouTube for at least half a year before I buy another camera, but I do want to start thinking about:

1. What are some of the best video cameras out there for video blogs?
2. What are the best DEALS out there? Would you choose one camera over another simply because it gets more bang for the buck?

We are currently using a Canon Powershot ELPH 330hs and a 300hs for backup.

Both of them produce quite nice quality. Have different color settings and can do slow mo xD

A lot of big YouTubers such as DanIsNotOnFire use the Canon 60D, although the Canon 600D I would deffo recommend! :D

I use the Canon Eos Rebel t3. It is not too expensive in comparison (especially when you get it on black friday/cyber monday) and the picture is really good! The only downside for me is that the display doesn't swivel out so you can monitor while you vlog. It can be solved by hooking it up to your laptop though and using that as a monitor.

Edit: Also just checked out your channel. You're pretty funny! :D

Very nice to know. I'm eyeing these as future purchases for when I eventually want to move around when I film. I can only use the webcam for so long, y'know?

If you're willing to use a webcam, the Logitech C920 is awesome, and pretty cheap too. If you're not going for a webcam, I can be of no assistance.

I use the Nikon D5100. It's a great camera for recording and takes great pictures. If you are interested in recording a lot of motion shots, go for a DLSR camera that can record 60FPS at 1920x1080 (HD) resolution. Mine only does 30 FPS, so for static shots and low movement, it works great.

Edit: Also a lot of youtubers use smaller cameras for when they are mobile, like the canon powershot I believe. Don't have much experience with those though. However they are better if you don't want to risk damaging a very expensive camera.

We actually will use those cameras for film making on occasion. It can be color corrected to match our dslrs for short films xD They are quite crisp.

Also that is a great webcam, I have one myself and it definitely gets the job done.

DSLRs are good if you're a sitting down in front of a camera vlogger. You can get a nice depth of field and blur out the background. However if you're a walking around the house and downtown vlogger I would suggest The Canon Powershot S110. It's about $300AU but is very light weight, autofocus and great audio/video quality. I recommended this for a friend and you can see one of her videos here.

That's good to know. I like the image quality of his videos. I have my eyes on the 600D though. With another upcoming Snowboard week plus maybe (let's see how long I can still resist) a PS4 my budget is limited. Boohoo...
