Best Camera for Pranks??

Hi what camera do you guys recommend to film pranks with, preferably not too expensive to start out with, <$1000

Well a lot of pranks are filmed from more of a distance and also some require the camera to be hidden so those would be some things to take into consideration

any camera that is decent, a good idea would be one that has a good zoom and high px so you can get close up

It would also been good to take its size into account, a DSLR with a 70-200mm lens could work well but wont be discreet. I dont know if this camera has a good zoom on it but something like the Canon S120 could work if it does have good zoom. Its small enough to be discreet and the quality in the preview videos I have seen is excellent.

As a tele lense is usually very long it can't be hidden well. So you need multiple cameras. A small one to be hidden (e.g. a GoPro) and another one for long distances like A Nikon 1 J3 with 30-110 Nikkor lense.
