Best bitrate for 720p

Hey guys, Simple questions, How much is the best bitrate for 720p? I've been using 5000. How much do you guys use? (Sony AVC/MVC *mp4 file | AVC, 1280x720, Profile: High, Entropy Coding: CABAC, Field Order: None, Pixel Aspect Ratio: 1,0000) Thanks guys!

i would of thought the key question would be whats the frame rate ..... ie

29.97 fps

25 fps

etc etc .....

If you will be uploading to youtube, it does not matter which bitrate you use, as youtube caps everything anyways.
