I use natural sunlight when it's really sunny outside, or white lights/diffused light depending on the time of day. I'm already so pale that I have to be careful when using white lights though.
I use 2 different sets of lights. I have two large softboxes for extreme situations and then a set of 4 small white photography bulbs with 2 diffusion umbrellas for anyday content. You can see both sets at work in the video in my signature as an extreme example but I often use one diffused white light on my face to make it glow and then one to light up the room and then blend them together with a tungsten bulb from a desk lamp or even just the ceiling light. I think it looks pretty good as long as it doesn't get in the shot which can be hard when they are in a small room (like my studio) and the camera is moving.
