BentPixels content ID claims

I have recently been receiving content ID claims from a network called BentPixels. I reached out to them directly and they informed me they were placing the content ID claims on behalf of FUNimation. The videos in question are AMV's (anime music videos) and do use footage from FUNimations anime library. As I do not monetize anything on my channel I see nothing wrong with this as many of my videos also get content ID claims form various music companies as well. Each ID claim is different but most place ad's to get some revenue and in return leave the video up, everyone is happy.

The music companies placing the content ID's are easy to recognize as legitimate either being from WMG, SME, UMG, ect. BentPixels on the other hand is rather unknown to me and when I requested proof that they work on behalf of FUNimation as they claim I was ignored. I also reached out to FUNimation directly and was simply told "while we cannot expressly authorize you to upload such media, we will not actively seek to remove any that you do decide to upload, provided that it is [and is readily identifiable as] a fair use of the media, such as a satire, parody, AMV, critique or review. If you believe your content was taken down in error, please file a counter-notification for alleged infringement". This can be found on the FUNimation website as well in their FAQ.

TL;DR
Has anyone here had content ID claims from BentPixels for FUNimation visual content?
Does anyone know if BentPixels legitimately works on behalf of FUNimation?

Any information would be helpful.

I'm not sure about this but, I did a little research(Googling) and found no connection. I saw a BentPixels getting a lot of scam allegations and most of the copyright claims made by Japanese companies are made directly. I don't see the point of Funimation using an unknown Network just to contact you. My guess is that they'r trying to monetize your videos which is basically scam.

I was not able to find any connection between FUNimation and BentPixels either. Most of what I did find was people complaining that BentPixels was sending them content ID claims for their supposed clients with no proof to back it up other than directing them to the BentPixels website that has brand logos of their "clients". When approached on their twitter account about the ID claims BentPixels gives a very cut and past answer to contact them via a support email and they will talk in DM's only. Seems rather shady.

I will keep doing some more digging before taking any action on the ID claims.

I'm 90% sure they're a scam. Hope everything goes well for you! If not, asking Youtube to take action is probably the best solution. Or blocking them might work as well. Good luck mate!
