Could anyone tell me about some software for making an interesting banner? I am aiming to make my channel stand out more, and I want to make the banner writing look 3D.

Photoshop or paint.net i use paint.net for my one and it really was easy to use so yep

Use Gimp, it is free and it is good X)

GIMP, it's free and basically like PS. Or just get PS CS2. I'm pretty sure that's free aswell.

I used Paint.Net for every type of branding (banner, thumbnails, avatar)

I used Adobe Illustrator for mine, it wasn't very hard to do
