Banner Size - [SOLVED]

Not sure if this is the right thread to include but for those of you designing your channel banner, what is the size portions you use by pixels? Right now when I go on youtube it says the recommended is 2560x1440 but i could have sworn it use to be 2560x423, or am I going crazy?? lol

I made my banner based on 2560x423 but it won't let me upload it.....help!

Luckily it was a quick fix on my end...but i'm pretty sure there was 423 somewhere lol

The image indeed needs to be 2560 x 1440. The easiest way is to expand the canvas from the center. So you wont have to change anything besides that. On desktop, laptops and such the banner height is indeed 423. But on TV's and such they will display the full 2560 x 1440 if possible.

That's exactly what I did! Kinda impressed with my new designer skills i'm developing through youtube lol

Also if the banner exceeds the size limit then you won't be able to upload it either. Keep that in mind.
