Bad Static When Recording?!!

Hey guys, on my videos i have a static in the background which is really annoying. To me anyway. I have tried so many things to fix it, new mic, adjusting sound in mixer, back ports of the pc, front ports, sound suppression, mic muffler, and non of them have worked. Have you guys got any suggestions and have any of you had the same problem and fixed it? Also im thinking if i buy a sound card to go into my pc that might help? Any reply would be appreciated Thanks xD

That static has nothing to do with a popfilter.

Your mic is really loud. Turn down the volume in windows and/or on the mic.

If you record your voice using Audacity, you can remove background noise which could be the problem. Here's a tutorial on how to do so, hope it helps

Even if you don't use Audacity to record, opening the audio file(s) in Audacity, and getting a noise reduction really helps.
You can also do all sorts of other things with the audio, that you feel is a great thing to add.

Mic sensitivity, picks up the static interference from your sound card in your MoBo, or external one.
Definitely turn down the sensitivity and get a pop filter (looks like a guard for the microphone)

The pop filter suggestions are hilarious. Almost as good as recommending the Snowball as a good mic.
