I chose this board for my question as no other board really suited this topic...
I just finished cleaning up all my old files including pictures, videos, etc and I really would like to back them up. I have a 12GB flash drive and I figured I could just organize all my info into folders and a bunch of subfolders...easy enough. I went to zip up the main sub folder and after about 15min of zipping 11.7GB of crap it said there was an error and created a zipped folder with no contents!

My main point is, is there a better way to backup files and what do you guys use to back up info?

(Also this board had 666 discussions going on and I had to put an end to it by making a 667th haha!)Forum667.jpg

It's bad of me, but I don't back them up. Right now, the video project files and videos themselves take up SO MUCH ROOM that I had to buy an external hard drive to put them on. In order to back that up, I would have to buy another external harddrive with about the same space x_x too much money for me to do D:

but ideally, I would!

Ack! Yeah my files aren't backed up but I'm thinking about getting a external hard drive to put all my video files on. I just want to be able to retrieve old footage for use in the future, especially when my comp is 7years old and already slow when it comes to editing, rendering and uploading AHH!
